The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HVX00514B1CB HVX 9000 Adjustable Frequency Drive is a 5HP intelligent drive with a bypass circuit. It has a rated 480V AC output voltage, with an input voltage ranging from -15-10% of the drive’s rated voltage at 50-60Hz and it has a short-circuit withstand of 65 k AIC. The HVX00514B1CB drive provides the connected motor with a voltage ranging between 0 and the drive’s input value at an output frequency of 0-320Hz, and it is also capable of providing 110% of the current motor overload protection for a maximum duration of 10 minutes. The drive offers an Open-Loop Sensorless Vector Control with an adjustable control frequency of 1-16 kHz at a default value of 10 kHz. The drive also offers a controlled acceleration/deceleration time of 0-300 seconds and a default breaking torque of 30% x Tn. The HVX00514B1CB has 5 digital inputs, with a logic/control voltage between 18 and 24V DDC, and a 0-10, 0 to 24mA analog (voltage/current) input, with an input impedance of 200Ω/250Ω, and an input accuracy of ±1%.
The drive also has a 0-24mA analog output with 10-bit resolution and ±2% accuracy and with a 50 mA/48V open collector digital output. It has 2 programmable Form C relay outputs, with 24V DC / 8A, 250V AC / 8A, or 125V DC / 0.4A switching capacity. The HVX00514B1CB offers overcurrent protection with a trip limit of 4 x IH, it also offers under/over voltage protection, over-temperature protection, earth fault protection, motor stall protection, motor under-load protection, and short-circuit protection. The HVX00514B1CB It has an overall drive efficiency of 95% with a power factor of 0.96 and it can be installed at a maximum height of 3280 ft. (1000m), without de-rating. The drive’s operational temperature range is 14-104°F at 0-95% non-condensing humidity and it is stored between -40 and 158°F. The HVX00514B1CB comes with a NEMA Type 1/IP21 rated enclosure and is UL-certified.
