The Eaton Cutler-Hammer D100ENA8 is an 8 I/O expansion module from the D100 series of PLCs. This expansion module is the smallest one in a wide range of Cutler-Hammer D100 series expansion modules which allows the user to set up an individual configuration. The maximum of two expanding modules is permitted for series D100 PLCs to implement. The D100ENA8 is used for expanding base architecture in applications that already include PLCs, in this case for 8 digital inputs 115 Volts AC rated. Inputs rated voltage is externally supplied. Every input state is signaled over a red lamp on the module’s housing. For powering purpose of this expansion module, supply a 115 Volts AC voltage at its power input. The D100ENA8 comes with an 80-millimeter long connecting cable.
Installation note: If intending to connect an analog expansion module to the PLC system, it must be installed next to the controller before the D100ENA8 expansion module. Addresses on the D100ENA8 expansion module are increasing in an octal number sequence starting from final address from the PLC or starting from final address from expansion module installed in front of this module. The D100ENA8 is designed to operate in an industrial surrounding with ambient temperature conditions in 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) range. The expansion module weight is around 0.5 kilograms (1 pound). The dimensions of this expansion chassis are around 5.32 x 4.00 x 4.4 inches (135 x 100 x 112 millimeters). Mount the module directly to the panel or onto a DIN rail; cable connectors on the chassis are protected with covers. Remove the cover to plug in the connection cable and keep the connecting cable path as short as possible.
