The D100EE10 is an EE-PROM memory cartridge that aids the D100 programmable logic controllers. This PROM memory cartridge is a Cutler-Hammer product of the Eaton PLC memory module series. It belongs to the D100 programmer series and is a quintessential element in the programming process. The cartridge mounted electronically for erasable, programmable, read-only memory (EE-PROM) can be used only in the D100 20, 40, and 40H controllers. The D100EE10 module has the internal jumpers that allow this device to be directly interchangeable with the D100EE28. The D100EE10 PROM can be plugged in and out of the controller without the help of any tools or equipment. The programming of these Cutler-Hammer devices can be only done on the mentioned controllers. Once the programming is done, the D100EE10 can be used interchangeably on any of the stated controllers.
These controllers, namely D100 - 20, 40, and 40H, have the withstand voltage of 1500 Volts AC in 1 minute, while the saturated voltage for the same is 2 Volts maximum. The PROM should not be inserted or removed in any circumstance while power is still being applied to the personal computer, in order to keep the D100EE10 device intact. The D100 series of programmers have a scan time of approximately 8 milliseconds per 1K of memory. Also, it has 16 timers and 16 counters that hold well with the D100EE10 as well. The D100EE10 PROM works for the D100 hand-held programmer that can block as well as trace the monitor. The D100EE10 PROM connected devices are password protected and have predefined and pre-set high and low limits.
