The D100CD40H is a programmable controller from the D100 series by the Cutler Hammer brand. It has a capacity of 40 I/O and can perform various functions. This module is a micro-programmable controller that can control counters, jump, step sequences, flip-flop functions, one-shot functions, master control functions, and timers. Keep in mind that an operator can’t create programs with a controller alone. A hand-held programmer is required to enter, execute, or monitor a program; a personal computer can also be used to enter and execute a program or to generate reports.
The D100CD400H controller has 24 inputs and 16 outputs. It comes with a built-in PROM writer feature, which allows the operator to store programs in a PROM module. This a high-speed controller allows the user to expand the I/O capacity to 120 I/O, making it ideal for systems that require more than 80 I/O. It is important to use compatible expansion units with the D100CD400H, in order to increase the total number of outputs and inputs. As a stand-alone system, the D100CD400H has everything it needs, including inputs, outputs, power supply, RAM memory, and diagnostic LEDs. This is a modular system, allowing the operator to immediately connect expansion modules and other accessories. By connecting the D100CD400H, the operator can perform different functions. The D100 software package allows operators to create and edit ladder diagrams, load and save ladder diagrams on a disk, monitor the ladder diagram, trace and block monitors, and generate reports, to name just a few of its many functions. When the D100CD400H is not in use, ensure that the humidity of its storage zone is less than 60%, in order to avoid damaging the module’s internal systems. When in use, the humidity surrounding this controller should be less than 95%, to ensure optimal performance of its system.
